Requirements
• You have 8+ years of experience in software engineering and have developed strong programming skills (e.g. Java Spring Boot, or Kotlin / Scala / C# / Ruby / Go / Python). • You are fluent in English - it is our business language. • You are proactive, able to prioritize, and willing to thrive in our rapidly growing startup environment. • You pay close attention to details, are an excellent listener, and a valuable team member. • You understand backend systems (database, authentication, API & 3rd-party integrations, security, performance) and have experience in both micro-services architectures and queue management systems • You are rigorous about best practices (e.g. technical design, testing, code reviews, • documentation & maintenance). • You embrace AI tooling (e.g. Claude, Cursor, Copilot) as part of your daily workflow and continuously explore how to integrate it into your engineering practice to boost productivity and quality • You like solving problems and making complex things look simple. • You have a product mindset, always thinking about the user experience and delivering value. • You are curious and open-minded, (almost) language agnostic and non-dogmatic. • You know how to write quality code efficiently and how to make right trade-offs. • You like mentoring and coaching your team mates • You always want to keep learning and you are comfortable with confronting ideas. • You enjoy the cadence and want to bring the best of yourself within an early-staged startup. • You are a good team-player and want to share good vibes with smart and caring co-workers.
Responsibilities
• Help building the whole product and the underlying tech, hand-in-hand with a team of ~25 senior engineers. • Develop and share a strong understanding of procurement and Source-to-Pay processes in enterprise companies, both within your team and across engineering. • Help with the architecture decisions to ensure we build a robust and scalable product while maintaining a great pace of delivery. • Lead an engineering squad of 5 and help them grow. • Help build and scale the product, the team, and the underlying tech while ensuring good practices. • Conceive and implement complex features like a dynamic form builder, workflows engine, budget, and analytics. • Contribute to the team continuous improvement with new ideas, processes and tools. • Leverage AI to boost productivity & developer experience. • As you join Pivot in the early stages of our scale, this will be a unique opportunity to have significant transversal impact on the technical choices, the product and the culture of the company. • A competitive salary package plus equity (BSPCE) • Meal vouchers Swile • 1 days of remote work per week • An office at Morning Bourse in Paris • The richness of a multicultural and international team (more than 15 nationalities). • A unique chance to grow with a fast-scaling innovator
