Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., ITIL, CPM, CIPS) preferred. • 5–8+ years of experience in IT vendor management, procurement, sourcing, or contract management. • Proven experience negotiating technology contracts (SaaS, cloud, hardware, managed services, etc.). • Skills & Competencies • Strong knowledge of IT procurement processes, contract law fundamentals, and vendor governance models. • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. • Ability to analyze complex data, budgets, and vendor performance metrics. • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize the procurement of technology services across multiple global locations while ensuring compliance with local regulations. • Identify potential vendors for new technologies required by MoonPay's operations, conducting thorough due diligence on their capabilities, financial stability, and alignment with company values. • Negotiate contract terms that protect the interests of both parties involved in vendor relationships while maintaining cost efficiency and quality service delivery standards. • Oversee day-to-day management of technology vendors to ensure timely deliveries, adherence to agreed specifications, and resolution of any issues or disputes promptly. • Stay abreast of emerging technologies relevant to MoonPay's industry that could impact vendor selection decisions; regularly reviewing the market landscape for potential opportunities or threats. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments, such as IT Operations and Finance, to align technology sourcing strategies with broader business objectives while ensuring seamless integration of new technologies into existing systems. • Monitor vendor performance against agreed service levels regularly; proactively addressing any areas where vendors fall short in meeting expectations or delivering promised results. • Manage and maintain relationships with MoonPay's technology partners, fostering open communication channels to ensure mutual understanding of goals, priorities, and concerns at all times. • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors during negotiations; facilitating discussions on contract terms that benefit both parties while ensuring alignment with MoonPay's strategic objectives. • Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks associated with vendor disruptions or failures, including identifying alternative suppliers when necessary and establishing clear communication protocols for crisis management situations. • Regularly review contract terms in light of changing business needs; negotiating amendments as required while ensuring compliance with legal requirements across different jurisdictions where MoonPay operates globally. • Provide leadership to the Technology Vendor Management team, setting clear expectations for performance and accountability at all levels within this function.
