Requirements
• Comfortable and confident on camera • Skilled in video editing and storytelling • Deeply familiar with YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram content • Obsessed with understanding why videos perform well (and why they don’t) • You regularly watch and analyze top creators and trends • Highly independent — you can take an idea from concept to publish without oversight • Strong communicator who can connect with creators, partners, and users • 2+ years of experience creating and editing YouTube content • Experience appearing on camera in video content • Strong understanding of YouTube content formats and audience behavior • Experience writing high-performing titles and designing thumbnails • Passion for AI tools like ChatGPT, Premiere, and Kapwing • Familiarity with YouTube Studio analytics • Experience working at a tech company (desired)
Responsibilities
• Create and publish 1–3 high-quality full YouTube videos per week (tutorials, news, and edutainment) • Own the full production process: ideation, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing • Serve as an on-camera host, representing Kapwing to a global audience • Optimize videos for growth through titles, thumbnails, SEO, and retention strategies • Collaborate with the content team and CEO on content strategy, series, and lead creator interviews • Identify and capitalize on viral trends, formats, and new video storytelling opportunities • Repurpose content across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, landing pages) • Become a Kapwing product expert, collaborating with product managers to ensure our product remains best in class
