Requirements
• You should be comfortable making and defending technical decisions, while remaining open to feedback and alternative approaches. You'll need to balance technical excellence with business needs and help guide the team toward pragmatic solutions. • You excel at stakeholder management and can effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. You're proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues before they become problems. • We look for candidates with most or all of the below traits that can point to real experience applying them. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python • Strong proficiency in Django, or other Python API frameworks (e.g. FastAPI, Flask) • Experience with SQL databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks • Knowledge of API design principles and microservices architecture • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms • Solid understanding of version control with Git • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest) • Understanding of security best practices and data protection • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication abilities and proven track record of successful team collaboration • Given what we do, experience in financial services, fintech and business-to-business organisations is particularly interesting to us. • We hire for range • What you're like as a person and how you treat people is a big deal for us.
