Requirements
• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering • PE license or experience supporting PE-stamped reviews • Experience with poles, foundations, or infrastructure design • Familiarity with IBC, ASCE, and local amendments • Strong cross-functional communication and practical problem-solving skills • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment • Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired as a Structural Engineer at Flock Safety. • The First 30 Days • The First 30 Days • Learn Flock’s deployment models, hardware, and structural standards, including pole, foundation, and mounting configurations • Review active and recent PE submittals to understand common AHJ requirements, risks, and failure points • The First 60 Days • The First 60 Days • Independently evaluate structural conditions for standard deployments, including new pole installs and foundation depths • new pole installs and foundation depths • Support PE reviews and respond to AHJ comments with minimal guidance • 90 Days & Beyond • 90 Days & Beyond • Own structural review for complex or non-standard deployments, including drone infrastructure • Contribute to improving structural standards, templates, or processes to scale deployments and reduce review cycles
Benefits
• In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $120,000 and $150,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators.
