Requirements
• Experience across direct and indirect tax compliance is considered a strong advantage (especially EU experience). However, we are looking for someone who is flexible, eager to learn and develop across all aspects of tax globally and enjoy learning new things • Previous inhouse experience is a strong advantage (ideally with FinTech and/or financial services experience) • A qualified tax professional (e.g. ACA, CTA in the UK or equivalent) with strong technical expertise • Tax accounting experience is a strong advantage • Confident partnering with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment • Strong ability to manage workload, multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively • Advance Excel skills. Responsibilities
• Manage Trustly’s global tax compliance process to ensure that Trustly always reports and pays the correct amount of tax globally. Including: • Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns • Review of VAT returns and EC sales lists • Tax compliance calendar tracking and management • Manage quarterly and year-end compliance timelines/tasks • Assisting with the preparation of transfer pricing calculations • Act as the main point of contact for Trustly’s global tax outsource provider. Including ensuring the provider has accurate and timely data and performing first review • Act as a touchpoint between wider Finance and Tax for data collection • Assisting the tax team with key projects • Assist with audits and inquiries from tax authorities • Identify and implement digital solutions to enhance efficiency and streamline tax compliance and other tax processes. • Assisting with other key tax reporting requirements (e.g. DAC 6 and CESOP) and compliance related tasks related to being a regulated entity and financial institution (e.g. FATCA and CRS returns) • Assist with monitoring tax legislative changes and assess potential impact to the business • If your skills and experience align with this role, we’d love to hear from you!
