Responsibilities
• be the point of contact for all technical topics from the squad (you can then redirect to another member of the squad) • be the coach for the other developers of the squad (do Performance reviews and Career Path assessments) • participate in monthly meetings altogether with CPTO and Engineering Director to celebrate successes and discuss technical or organizational challenges • keep coding, up to 80% of your time • This role reports into the Engineering Director. • Discover 360Learning, its platform, its teams and its culture • Become familiar with how our R&D way of working • Understand the team's processes • Support your product squad: each squad has clear goals for innovation (e.g. driving users to create more courses), while also maintaining and improving product features and codebase that fall under its scope • Follow and coach the software engineers of your squad • Start identifying our developers' key strengths and areas of improvement to help them grow • Solve proactively challenges the developers are facing • Lead Performance Reviews and Career Path assessments calibration • Work with the CPTO and the Engineering Director on maintaining your squad’s engagement • Create your own courses on the 360Learning platform • Suggest and implement process improvements in the squad • Maintain a good team spirit, for instance by organizing team-building activities (sync or async) • Ensure your team is able to ship valuable features, while maintaining the timing and the quality • Work with the product manager to define the product vision and set the technical direction for that part of our platform • Push for technical innovations in the squad and outside • Identify the career next steps of your team members and define an action plan to reach them • You have either formally or informally served as a tech lead/mentor/coach for a team of software engineers working on a Saas platform for 2+ years. • You have led technical initiatives in an environment where performance, reliability, and accuracy are paramount and where “feature development” and roadmaps are measured in months and quarters. • You have significant full stack programming experience including experience with Agile methodologies, SaaS software architecture, and modern programming languages • You have a product-oriented mindset and care deeply about the customers and the customer experience. • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills • Fluent English (US/UK) / B2 level or equivalent (FR) • Enthusiasm for our working environment explained here: https://bit.ly/Convexity360L
