Requirements
• Strong programming experience in C++ or Python. • Experience with machine learning and computer vision is required; knowledge of robotics preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with data structures, 3D geometry, advanced algorithms, core robotics principles such as state estimation, 3D reconstruction, and visual odometry are necessary. • Excellent software and computing fundamentals expected. • Bonus points for experience with Large Language Models (LLM) or Vision Language Models (VLM).
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement computer vision algorithms to improve autonomous vehicle safety features. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions into the WeRide platform. • Conduct research on emerging technologies in AI for transportation applications, including self-driving cars. • Test and validate computer vision models using real-world data sets collected from autonomous vehicle trials. • Optimize code to enhance performance of the WeRide software suite under various traffic conditions. • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in self-driving technology development. • Provide technical support for team members working on related projects within the company or external partnerships. • Participate in code reviews to ensure high coding standards are met across all WeRide software products. • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements by attending conferences, workshops, and webinars focused on autonomous vehicle technology.
Benefits
