Alpha Financial Markets Consulting - Consultant - Data Engineering (Snowflake)
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred. • Proven experience (1-3+ years) as a Data Engineer, with recent hands-on experience in Snowflake, and experience in DBT. • Proficiency in Qlik Replicate, Compose, and Github, DBTLabs & Astronomer for data integration, replication, and transformation. • Good understanding of data engineering principles, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. • Recent hands on exposure to Snowflake, including data ingestion, storage, performance optimization, and security. • Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and working with cloud-based data solutions and services. • Familiarity with data quality, data governance, and data lifecycle management practices. • Solid programming skills in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for data manipulation and automation. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with the ability to diagnose and resolve data engineering issues. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. • Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation. • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Management, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines. • At least 1-3 years years of proven consulting experience at a recognized consulting firm or through an ‘in-house’ consulting / business analyst role at a leading financial institution. • Experience within financial services, preferably within the insurance industry. • Excellent consulting and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with recognized project and consulting frameworks and business process mapping. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner; executive presentation skills. • Proven track record of building and sustaining lasting relationships with team members. • Appetite to support clients across our practice areas Intellectual capacity and ability to think in new, innovative ways to understand complex issues and develop creative solutions. • Ability to comfortably multi-task and engage in multiple initiatives concurrently. • Flexibility to travel up to 75%.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, data integration solutions, and data architecture. Additionally, expertise in Snowflake is required to ensure efficient and scalable data storage, processing, and analytics.
