Requirements
• Infrastructure experience: Minimum of 3 years preferred; ability to scale infrastructure from zero to one a plus. • Technical skills and certifications: Experience with cloud services such as AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure as code tools like Pulumi/Terraform/CDK is required. Strong understanding of Postgres or distributed relational databases preferred; backend optimization experience a plus (e.g., websockets, CDNs). • Knowledge in security: Must have strong knowledge of best practices for building and scaling infrastructure securely. Experience with MLOps, large scale inference, ML data pipeline is an additional bonus. • Leadership qualities: Strong technical leadership or management experience a plus; obsession with engineering excellence, rapid iteration & learning are required traits. Love of music (listening, exploring, making) also highly desired but not mandatory for the role itself.
Responsibilities
• Architect and build services to handle massive consumer traffic, data, and usage • Design systems that are performant, secure, scalable, and easy to observe • Lead by example on operational and software engineering excellence • Experience with cloud services (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, Docker, infrastructure as code tools like Pulumi/Terraform/CDK is required • Strong understanding of Postgres, distributed relational database systems, large scale database hosting a plus • Strong backend skills to help optimize application and service code; experience with websockets, CDNs, streaming traffic patterns a plus • Experience on MLOps, large scale inference, ML data pipeline a plus • An obsession with engineering excellence, iterating & learning rapidly, working hard is required • Technical leadership or management experience is preferred but not mandatory
