Fieldguide - Audit SME, AI Agents

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. • CPA license or Master’s degree in Accounting. • 4–10 years of experience in audit at a leading public accounting firm. • Experience at the Manager level or above is strongly preferred. • Experience auditing financial statements end-to-end, including designing and executing audit workpapers across financial statement areas. • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation. • Experience performing financial statement audits end-to-end, including planning and risk assessment, evaluating internal controls (ICFR), executing substantive testing across key balance sheet and income statement areas, and reviewing financial statements and disclosures. • Experience working across multiple clients and industries. • Exceptional attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy. • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex accounting concepts into clear product requirements. • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to focus on the highest-impact work. • Curiosity about AI and how it will reshape professional services. • Interest in working closely with engineers to build new systems from the ground up. • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and building without a predefined playbook. • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across teams. • A deep interest in improving how audits are performed—not just digitizing existing workflows.
