Requirements
• Skills needed: Leadership in engineering teams, project management experience with tech projects, knowledge of software development lifecycles and best practices. • Years of experience: At least 5 years as an Engineering Manager within the telecommunications industry or a related field. • Education: Bachelor's degree at minimum; Master’degrees preferred in engineering management or computer science fields with relevant coursework such as systems analysis, project planning and budgeting, risk assessment, etc. • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable but not mandatory. Familiarity with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban preferred.
Responsibilities
• Lead a team of engineers in delivering high-quality software solutions to our customers within the company's strategic goals and timelines. • Oversee project management processes including planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as product development, quality assurance, sales, marketing to ensure seamless integration of engineering work into broader company initiatives. • Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices in software design and testing methodologies within the team's workflow. • Mentor junior engineers and provide professional growth opportunities for career advancement while fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment. • Represent Kyivstar as Engineering Manager at industry events to network with peers, stay abreast of emerging trends in technology, and contribute insights back into the company's strategic direction.
