Requirements
• We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory. • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Responsibilities
• Strategy & Vision: Develop and execute the strategy for the AI team, aligning the technical direction and roadmap with Airwallex's business objectives. Stay at the forefront of industry trends to ensure we remain leaders in AI innovation. • Strategy & Vision: • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of software engineers, and AI specialists. Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and technical excellence while setting clear goals, managing performance, and developing career paths. • Team Leadership: • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner closely with Product, Design, and Operations to define the roadmap, prioritize a measurable backlog, and deliver high-impact AI solutions. Work with key stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities where AI can add significant value. • Cross-Functional Partnership: • Technical Ownership: Serve as the accountable owner for the architecture and system quality across our AI services. Provide deep technical guidance on model development, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring our solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure. • Technical Ownership: • Hands-On Guidance: Remain hands-on where it matters most. Guide architectural designs, review critical models and APIs, and de-risk complex initiatives with pragmatic technical deep dives. • Hands-On Guidance: • LLMOps & Best Practices: Champion best practices for the entire AI lifecycle, including Prompt-tuning, Context Engineering, Fine-tuning, Annotations and human-in-the-loop feedback. Drive a culture of continuous learning and process improvement. • LLMOps & Best Practices: • Operational Excellence: Own the operational health of our production AI systems, including on-call readiness, model monitoring, incident response, postmortems, and continuous reliability improvements. • Operational Excellence: • Talent Strategy: Lead the talent strategy for your organization.
