Capstone Investment Advisors - Data Scientist
Requirements
• Strong academic record and higher education degree with high mathematical and computing content e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or another disciplines involving technical and quantitative analysis techniques • Experience working with structured and unstructured data • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with, and inspire, a wide cross section of data professionals. • Prior experience in the investment management industry • Familiarity of language models, vector databases and prompt engineering • CFA qualified a plus
Responsibilities
• Support the analytical needs of enterprise and investment teams, including data cleansing, mapping, statistical inference, feature engineering and bespoke data visualization methods • Partner with data engineers to evaluate and reconcile datasets produced by different systems and teams — pricing, risk, execution, treasury — into consistent, joinable schemas • Design and build a canonical internal security master and reference data layer • Design and build a firmwide internal data catalogue and field-level metadata master • Build firmwide data-quality tools for automated checks and drift alerts • Analyze, design and curate core data products that integrate into our central data and AI platform • Partner with AI engineers so each data domain is AI ready — agents can use it immediately • Curate and present relevant research and technical documentation to build and maintain an up-to-date, accurate and accessible knowledge store

Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
