Airwallex - Senior Backend Engineer, Stablecoin Platform

• Essentials • Five or more years of experience as a software engineer, with deep expertise in object-oriented design and production-grade software development. • Strong experience with at least one strongly typed language, such as Kotlin, Java, C#, C++, or Rust. Python experience is useful but isn’t sufficient on its own. • Proven experience building and integrating blockchain infrastructure, such as wallets, transaction flows, or key management, into larger financial systems. • Experience integrating new systems into legacy or distributed environments without introducing instability or regressions. • Strong understanding of secure system design, particularly private key handling, signing, encryption, and operational controls. • Ability to quickly pick up unfamiliar tools or frameworks and adjust to changing technical priorities. • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and non-technical teams. • Preferred • Experience in FX, payments, or financial infrastructure. • You'll thrive here if • You're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself. • You own the outcome and you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken. • You're comfortable with ambiguity.
