Requirements
• A curious and eagerness to learn new things • Proficiency in Linux operating systems • Experience with deploying services using "Infrastructure as Code" tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins etc • Experience with deployment, and lifecycle management of production Kubernetes instances • Experience with deploying and scaling Micro Services using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes • Experience with establishing a CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Circle CI, etc. • Experience with web servers such as Apache, Nginx, and Traefik • Experience in at least on programming language (Python, Rust, Go, etc) • Understanding of fundamental protocols and services such as LDAP, SAML, TLS, PKI, and DNS. • Conceptual knowledge of virtualization technologies like KVM and VMware, as well as storage technologies such as S3, Ceph, and GlusterFS • Why this role is attractive • Work in an international, English-friendly engineering environment based in Japan • Own and improve real production CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud infrastructure • Work hands-on with modern DevOps technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code • Collaborate closely with software engineers to improve deployment speed, reliability, and developer experience • Gain broad, practical exposure across cloud, networking, observability, and incident response • Build strong foundations for long-term growth into Senior DevOps, Platform, or SRE roles • 3-8-5 Tatsumi, Koto-Ku, Tokyo 135-0053, Japan • 8:45 - 17:45 (with a 60-minute break)
Responsibilities
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code for cloud services to ensure scalability and reliability of applications. • Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios/Zabbix and take corrective actions when necessary. • Automate deployment processes with CI/CD pipelines, including testing automation scripts (e.g., Jenkins). • Manage infrastructure provisioning through Terraform or similar IaC tools to create and manage cloud resources efficiently. • Troubleshoot issues related to the DevOps pipeline by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing workflows for better performance. • Collaborate with development teams, providing guidance on best practices in infrastructure management within a Kubernetes environment or similar orchestration tools (e.g., Docker Swarm). • Ensure compliance with IT security policies through regular audits of the DevOps pipeline and associated systems to mitigate potential vulnerabilities. • Stay updated with emerging technologies in infrastructure automation, such as serverless architectures or container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), and integrate them into existing workflows when appropriate.
