Responsibilities
• Provide legal advice and support to our group of companies and affiliates on various matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, global legal standards and best practices as well as managing legal risks. • Draft, review and negotiate commercial and operational contracts, including but not limited to licensing agreements, reseller agreements, vendor contracts, non-disclosure agreements, employment agreements, service agreements. • Handle due diligence process and requirements. • Manage the group’s IP portfolio and advise on IP matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. • Manage and coordinate external/foreign lawyers when necessary. • Assist in the development and implementation of standardise legal templates, corporate policies and internal processes to maintain legal and ethical standards. • Assist in corporate governance, compliance and regulatory matters where relevant. • Conduct in-house training sessions for internal stakeholders across all business and operational units, where required. • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to data protection and privacy laws. • Keep abreast of relevant legal developments and changes in laws and regulations that may impact the business. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date internal records. • Support ad-hoc projects as the business and group continues to grow and evolve. • Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit: • Law degree from a recognised university. • Qualified lawyer in SG, UK or other common law jurisdiction with 2 to 3 years of legal experience. • Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law or M&A. Prior experience in IP, TMT, regulatory practice or in industries such as technology, gaming or digital services would be an added advantage but not compulsory. • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts. • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. • A motivated, reliable, meticulous, disciplined self-starter with strong work ethic who thinks and works proactively and independently with minimal supervision while being a collaborative team player. • Ability to manage and support projects across multiple geographies and diverse subject matters. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think and negotiate creatively and effectively, balancing legal constraints with business goals and objectives and engage effectively with both legal and non-legal stakeholders across various backgrounds.
