Hometap - Senior QA Engineer

• 5+ years of professional experience in web application testing • Strong command of QA processes, testing methodologies, and best practices, with a track record of championing quality standards across all phases of product development • 2+ years of hands-on experience with web QA automation tools and frameworks • Experience conducting code reviews of test automation code and mentoring others on best practices, code standards, and maintainability • Proficiency in JavaScript for writing automated tests, with the adaptability to pick up additional languages as needed • Experience implementing continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with DevOps • Experience with API testing and UI/UX testing • Ability to partner with product managers to translate feature requirements into comprehensive test plans, thinking from the perspective of multiple stakeholders • Meaningful experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) • Strong exploratory testing skills and a high-quality bar • Experience with Cypress or PlayWright • Experience with Python/Python-based frameworks such as Django • AWS ecosystem expertise • Experience with security testing • The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $140,000, depending on your experience, skills, location, and other factors.
