Affirm - Senior Product Designer
Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end design for key initiatives within our UK and international experiences, as well as our post purchase experiences globally, across App and Web. You’ll be driving from discovery through to delivery and iteration—achieving meaningful customer and business outcomes. • Own complex flows and ambiguous problem spaces, defining clear problem statements, success metrics, and design direction. • Partner closely with product, engineering, and data to make informed trade-offs and deliver intuitive, high-quality experiences. • Balance speed and quality, making pragmatic decisions while contributing to a cohesive product experience. • Use research, data, and experimentation to inform decisions and continuously improve outcomes. • Contribute to design systems and patterns, strengthening consistency and scalability across your area. • Facilitate alignment and decision-making, ensuring teams move forward with clarity. • Support and mentor other designers, helping raise the quality of work across the team. • What we look for • What we look for • Strong Craft & Execution: You consistently deliver polished, thoughtful interaction and visual design with high attention to detail. • Product Thinking: You balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to make sound design decisions and improve end-to-end experiences. • Ownership & Initiative: You take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive work forward with minimal oversight. • Cross-functional Collaboration: You build strong partnerships, communicate clearly, and help teams align on decisions and trade-offs. • Data-Informed Decision Making: You use research, experimentation, and analytics to guide your work and iterate toward better outcomes. • Team-Level Influence: You’re a trusted design partner within your area, contributing to direction and improving how the team works. • Growth & Adaptability: You seek feedback, continuously improve your craft, and leverage modern tools—including AI—to accelerate your workflow. • Tools & Experience: Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools (Figma, G Suite, Notion, etc.). • 5+ years of product design experience or equivalent practical experience.
