Requirements
• Willingness to help others at a company level • A presence that consistently cultivates a positive team environment • Ability to maintain morale across a team through regular assessment and collaboration with leadership • Ability to communicate objectives and direction to your reports • Ability to proactively manage timeframes and work • Commitment to quality of work both for yourself and your team members • An agile mindset with the ability to shift direction quickly in order to meet business needs • Ability to dive into the technical details of a problem and mentor team members to grow their own knowledge • Desire to work cross functionally with teams in a rapidly scaling organization • Security focused mindset to help identify and escalate issues • Typically, 10+ years of relevant engineering experience in fast paced environments • 3+ years of experience leading IT engineers in fast paced, remote environments • 5+ years experience deploying and managing Enterprise technology such as, but not limited to: • Mobile Device Management software (both Windows and OSX), Identity & Access Management software (Okta), Productivity tools (gSuite, Atlassian), Password Management tooling, and other core tools (Box, Adobe, Workday, etc.) • 5+ years in end user support including, but not limited to: • Directory Services (Google Workspace), SSO (Okta), Enterprise Password Management, RBAC Models, Procurement Support • Experience leading agile ceremonies (grooming, standups, retrospectives, etc.) • Experience managing performance with direct reports • Track record of meeting schedules on time; clearly defining deliverables and timetables, with demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in complex environments and manage teams to successful project completion • Demonstrated ability as an effective mentor and coach who understands how to successfully integrate into a team of talented engineers • Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills • Experience supporting audio/video equipment • Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field preferred • Our stackGoogle Workspace, Okta, Jamf, Intune, Oomnitza, Terraform, Atlassian, Slack • Our stack • Interview recording & AI notetakersTo protect privacy, legal compliance, and interviewer/candidate experience, recording, transcribing, or using AI notetaker tools during interviews is not permitted without our prior written consent. Salary ranges are designed to be competitive and aligned with country specific practices, while individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience. The compensation listed is not inclusive of any equity and benefits that might exist in your total compensation package. • Hiring range in the US$134,000 USD - $168,000 USD • Hiring range in Canada$119,000 CAD - $149,000 CAD • Application window anticipated to close: 6/1/2026. Responsibilities
• Live by and champions all of our core values (#accountability, #collaboration, #iteration, and #details) • Lead a high-caliber engineering team that will scale as the business grows, identifying and filling any team gaps • Perform personnel management tasks for a team of engineers, including performance reviews, compliance with company policies, mentoring, and helping plan career growth • Understand and manage team morale through regular assessments and collaboration with engineering leadership • Train new engineers on our best practices, standards, culture, and policies • Foster a team-oriented, supportive culture with a strong focus on creating a working environment that fosters collaboration, inclusion, open communication, and delivering outcomes using agile methodologies • Work with all departments regarding general employee empowerment and productivity • Be responsible for quality team output, on-call rotation and maintenance schedule, and overall project management • Own IT tooling management including vendor relationships and procurement management • Constantly improve team productivity, refine agile processes, and create methods to increase efficiency • Investigate, analyze, and evangelize good engineering practices • Lead in the creation and execution of novel solutions to complex, unbounded technical problems. Expertly design and own technical solutions for broad or complex requirements with insightful and strategic approaches. • Align your team’s work with Recharge’s business and engineering priorities to realize meaningful impact. Identify and build support for technical initiatives that address Recharge’s most important needs • Collaborate with the Director of Security in setting roadmap and priorities to ensure deliverables are met as well as raising concerns identified early on
