Requirements
• At least 2+ years of customer-facing technical experience as a solutions engineer, sales engineer, or equivalent title. • Previous B2B SaaS experience is preferred but not mandatory. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure & Operating Systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux). • Strong project management skills and proven ability to operate in a startup environment that lacks structure of a larger organization. • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, or JavaScript is required; expanding these skills desired but not mandatory. • Knowledge of REST API development and service integrations is considered an asset (not stated explicitly in the job posting). • Experience in cybersecurity space ideally preferred to strengthen work with AI amplification tools for efficiency improvement, demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment. Responsibilities
• Develop and implement solutions to complex technical problems within our software products. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, marketing, sales, customer success, support, operations, finance, legal, HR, procurement, facilities, IT security, compliance, risk, audit and other business units to ensure alignment of technical solutions with overall company goals. • Provide guidance on the development process for new features or enhancements by working closely with engineering teams in a consultative role while ensuring that all work aligns with our product roadmap and customer needs. • Act as an internal evangelist, sharing knowledge about Vanta's products to help drive adoption internally within various departments of the company. • Participate actively in code reviews for engineering teams working on critical features or enhancements that directly impact user experience and business outcomes. • Monitor customer feedback through support tickets, surveys, direct communication with customers, and other channels to identify common pain points related to our software products which can inform future development priorities. • Attend regular meetings such as sprint planning, retrospectives, demos/presentations for stakeholders, product strategy sessions, etc., providing input on technical decisions that impact the overall user experience and business goals of Vanta's software products.
