Flock - Senior Software Engineer, Frontend
Requirements
• Mastery of modern frontend web technologies, application design patterns, and user interface development using React and TypeScript. • Experience building map-based data visualizations using mapping libraries such as Mapbox or the Google Maps API. • Fullstack working context with Node.js web services and modern API design concepts like REST, GraphQL, or gRPC. • Practical understanding of backend microservice interaction patterns and relational databases like PostgreSQL to collaborate effectively with backend peers. • Resourceful problem-solving skills in ambiguous technical environments with a track record of continuous learning. • Familiarity with AWS managed services or frontend performance optimization for high-traffic applications is a plus.
Responsibilities
• This is not a purely visual design or prototyping job, you will write production-grade code, maintain web services, and ship features directly into production. • This isn't an isolated contribution role, you will participate in customer calls, actively engage in team retro items, and mentor peers through code reviews.
Benefits
• $170K – $190K • Offers Equity • In this role, you'll receive a starting salary between $170,000 and $190,000 as well as Flock Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators.
