Monks - Senior DevOps Engineer
Requirements
• 5+ years in operational roles (Cloud Operations, Site Reliability, DevOps, etc...) • Experience with GitOps-based deployments, enabling CI/CD with Jenkins, ArgoCD or similar systems. • Proficiency with logging and observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk or similar. • Proficiency with designing and operating applications in a public cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc...) • Expertise in operating and integrating with AWS services such as RDS, EKS, CloudWatch, etc... • Expertise with containerization technologies such as Docker. • Expertise with container orchestration such Kubernetes and Helm. • Expertise in configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform). • Expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting Linux-based systems. • Continuously work with the engineering teams to improve reliability, implementing actionable monitoring framework. • Analytical & problem solving skills, ability to communicate ideas clearly. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a strong focus on teamwork. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent in Engineering. • 10+ years in operational roles (Cloud Operations, Site Reliability, DevOps, etc...) • 1+ years in Software Engineering roles or equivalent software architecture roles. • Experience with preparing and executing PCI, SOC2, SOX, or other compliance audits.
Responsibilities
• Designing engineering platforms and tooling that simplify the process of building, deploying, and operating applications. • Developing automation for common development and operational tasks. • Monitoring system performance and availability, and remediating as necessary. • Collaborating with software and data engineering team on finding operationally sustainable solutions to engineering problems.

If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week.
