Requirements
• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role, with deep expertise in managing and scaling cloud infrastructure on AWS in a Linux-based environment using CDK (AWS Cloud Development Kit). • 3+ years of experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in TypeScript, Java, Python, Node.js, and SQL-based RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. • Proven experience in infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies. • Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI) to support frequent, reliable software delivery. • Proficient in using observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or equivalent—capable of proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks or system anomalies. • Demonstrated success in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices: ensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and incident response across production environments. • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across application layers, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure components. • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering, product, and support teams—both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
• You will partner with development teams, cross-functional teams, and cross-org stakeholders to provide day-to-day support on DevOps activities, including environment setup, build/deployment troubleshooting, and CI/CD pipeline optimization. • You will develop backend systems with strong proficiency in TypeScript, Java, Python, Node.js, and SQL-based RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, leveraging CDK (AWS Cloud Development Kit). • You will automate and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CloudFormation implemented through AWS CDK (TypeScript). • You will design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and GitHub Actions to enable frequent and reliable software delivery. • You will implement observability and monitoring solutions such as Datadog, New Relic, or equivalent, proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and system anomalies. • You will apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and incident response across production environments. • You will debug and troubleshoot issues across application layers, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure components. • You will collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and support teams—both internally and externally—demonstrating excellent communication and partnership skills. • Proactive: You take ownership of tasks and are quick to identify and address issues, especially in high-pressure situations. • Collaborative: You enjoy working with cross-functional teams and communicating clearly with both internal teams and external partners. • Security-minded: You understand the importance of security in managing credentials, file transfers, and infrastructure, and you take steps to protect sensitive information. • Detail-Oriented: You ensure that all file transfer accounts are well-documented and secure, and you track system issues to avoid future disruptions. • Problem-Solver: You are resourceful and skilled at diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to file transfer workflows and system performance. • Adaptable: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
