Requirements
• Skills needed: Senior Python Engineer with experience in AI tools and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTenz, Keras etc. Experience working on large scale data processing projects is a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying ML models preferred but not mandatory. • Years of experience: Minimum 5 years in Python development and AI/ML field preferably at the senior level, though this may be negotiable based on overall qualifications. Experience working remotely is required due to job location being remote only position. • Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics etc., with a strong focus on Python programming and AI/ML concepts during the coursework would be beneficial but not mandatory as experience takes precedence over formal education. • Certifications: While no specific certification is required for this role, having relevant professional certificates in areas such as Machine Learning Engineer Course (Google), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional etc., can enhance your application and may be considered during the interview process. • Must-haves: Strong problem-solving skills with a proven track record of delivering results, excellent communication abilities to work effectively in remote teams or as part of distributed groups, ability to learn quickly new technologies/tools related to AI & ML and adapt them for project needs are musts. Experience working on large scale data processing projects is highly desirable but not mandatory due to the senior level requirement which implies a wealth of experience already possessed by candidates applying for this role.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain large Python codebases using best practices for software development in a team setting. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, implement features, test functionality, troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, refactor legacy systems, document work, review pull requests before merging into the main branch of projects and release code changes as part of software delivery pipelines or continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. • Write clean, readable Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Requests, BeautifulSoup, etc., while adhering to coding standards and conventions established by the team. • Conduct code reviews with peers in a constructive manner that fosters knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of skills within the Python community or organization. Provide feedback on others' work when requested as well as accept peer review comments respectfully, identifying areas for enhancement to improve quality assurance processes while maintaining professionalism at all times during interactions with team members in a virtual environment using communication tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams. • Monitor system performance metrics via monitoring solutions like Prometheus or Grafana; identify bottlenecks that impact user experience, analyze logs for error patterns to diagnose issues quickly before they affect end users negatively by leveraging Python libraries including psutil (for process management), subprocess (to execute shell commands within scripts) and logging modules. • Participate in code refactoring sessions led by senior engineers or architects when necessary, providing input on potential improvements while respecting established coding conventions throughout the organization without compromising existing functionality unless explicitly directed otherwise during these discussions via video conferencing tools like Zoom/Teams calls with team members. • Stay up-to-date regarding new Python libraries and frameworks relevant to our projects by attending webinars, reading blogs or articles published on reputable sources such as PyCon USA & Europe (https://www.pycon.io/), RealPython(http://realpython.com/)and Medium publications authored by industry experts like Guido van Rossum himself! • Contribute actively towards open source projects related to Python development through pull requests on GitHub repositories hosted under organizations such as PyCQA (https://github.com/cqapython), PEP 563(http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0563/), etc., while maintaining professionalism during interactions with other contributors via communication tools like Slack or Discord channels dedicated specifically for project discussions within these communities! • Engage in knowledge sharing activities such as mentoring junior engineers, presentations at internal meetings about best practices and new technologies adopted by our team members across different locations worldwide using platforms available online today including
