Responsibilities
• Define how we measure the quality of our geospatial data: identifying gaps, quantifying their impact on the operation, and prioritising improvements. • Continuously evolve our location datasets. • Own the technical strategy and roadmap for Relay's geospatial data solutions. • Partner with engineering to productionise and integrate solutions into the delivery operation. • Build observability into pipelines so that degradation in data quality is detected, understood, and acted upon. • Build reusable data products and define core metrics that add value across the business. • Coach and mentor other data scientists on technical approach, production standards, and problem decomposition. • You have deep experience with geospatial data, telemetry, or GPS trace processing. • You love maps and urban geography. • You are motivated by complex problems with high impact. • You care about the people your work affects — couriers, retailers, and internal teams all feel the impact of the data products you own.
