Requirements
• 3+ years of relevant experience in merchandise procurement, production, or purchasing • Excellent communication and vendor management skills • A passion for sustainability and a desire to help shape our responsible sourcing strategy • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously • Experience using Shopify, Airtable, and Google Suite • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a remote environment • A creative, problem-solving mindset and a drive to improve processes and the bottom line • Must be comfortable working U.S. working hours • Experience sourcing in the U.S., Mexico or China • Familiarity with inventory forecasting and logistics • Exposure to sustainability certifications or supply chain tracking tools • Understanding of fulfillment workflows, especially for pre-order or event-based models
Responsibilities
• Procurement & Vendor Management • Source and purchase merchandise for multiple events and e-commerce initiatives • Manage domestic and international vendors (U.S., Mexico, China), including timelines, negotiations, and relationship-building • Evaluate vendor practices to ensure alignment with sustainability goals and ethical production • Track receipts, maintain accurate records, and manage invoice coding and payment timelines • Conduct cost analyses and propose cost-saving strategies and sourcing efficiencies • Research and stay current on international tariffs and import/export regulations based on event location (e.g. U.S., Mexico, China) to ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing decisions • Sustainable Purchasing • Research materials, production timelines, and shipping logistics to make sustainability-driven decisions • Make location-specific sourcing decisions to minimize carbon footprint (e.g. sourcing closer to event locations) • Stay current on sustainability trends in apparel, packaging, and logistics to drive future improvements • Online Store Management (Shopify) • Build and manage Shopify product listings, collections, and inventory tracking • Coordinate product launches and fulfillment logistics with internal teams • Monitor online inventory and recommend reorders or restocks • Cross-Team Collaboration • Work closely with our graphic design team to align on product specs, printing limitations, and production timelines • Provide guidance on garment selection, decoration methods, and production capabilities • Maintain product knowledge across categories (apparel, accessories, packaging, etc.)
