Filevine - Senior Backend Engineer

• 6+ years of professional backend development experience with expert-level mastery of Python (3.12+), async/await, FastAPI, and Pydantic v2. • Proven production experience building complex, distributed systems — ideally including durable workflow orchestration (Temporal or equivalent), message queues, or event-driven architectures. • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate agentic design decisions, reliability trade-offs, and LLM behavior to non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional partners. • Growth mindset, strong collaborative approach, genuine passion for mentoring others, and proven track record of delivering high-impact features end-to-end in fast-moving production environments. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred — equivalent experience, certifications, or demonstrated expertise with a strong production track record considered equally. • $165,000 - $215,000 a year • Compensation Information: $165,000 - 215,000 • The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The total compensation package for this position will be determined by each individual’s location, qualifications, education, work experience, skills and performance.
