Requirements
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and automated deployment pipelines. • Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and concepts. • Familiarity with modern software delivery and DevOps practices. • Scripting or automation experience is desirable. • Experience in a high-level programming language such as .NET core is highly beneficial. • Experience in managing Database systems such as MS SQL is highly beneficial. • Typically, 5-7 years of relevant DevOps or platform engineering experience • Experience working in cloud-hosted or SaaS environments, ideally in a multi-tenant environment. • Right to work in the country of employment. • StarCompliance Background Checks • All positions require pre-employment screening due to employees potentially having access to highly sensitive and confidential information involving finance and compliance; candidates must be trustworthy and have a heightened sensitivity to protecting confidential financial, professional information. Responsibilities
• Implement and maintain infrastructure for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery processes within the company's product development environment. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, operations staff, security experts, business analysts, QA engineers, etc., and other stakeholders in order to understand project requirements for DevOps initiatives or projects at hand. This includes understanding the technical aspects of a product as well as its impact on users/business goals. • Develop automated testing scripts using tools like Selenium WebDriver (or similar) that can be integrated into CI pipelines, and ensure these tests are robust enough to catch potential issues before they reach production environments. This includes writing test cases for both frontend and backend components of the product being developed or maintained by StarCompliance UK's DevOps team. • Monitor system performance using tools like New Relic (or similar) in order to identify bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, improve overall efficiency, reduce costs where possible without compromising on quality and reliability of the product being developed or maintained by StarCompliance UK's DevOps team. • Manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform (or similar), ensuring that all necessary resources are provisioned in a timely manner to support development activities, while also maintaining security best practices such as least privilege access and regular audits of resource configurations for compliance with company policies or industry standards where applicable. • Collaborate closely with the product owner(s) on prioritizing backlog items based on business value, technical feasibility, risk assessment, etc., in order to ensure that development efforts are aligned with overall project goals and timelines as agreed upon by StarCompliance UK's DevOps team. • Provide guidance and support for developers working within the company’s infrastructure environment (e.g., setting up local environments using tools like Docker, providing access credentials securely through Vault or similar services), troubleshooting issues related to deployment processes such as container startup failures due to misconfigurations in Kubernetes YAML files etc. • Participate actively within StarCompliance UK's DevOps community by attending regular meetings, sharing knowledge and best practices with peers on tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams (or similar platforms), providing feedback during retrospectives to help improve processes over time as needed based upon experience gained through working together towards common goals. • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies relevant for DevOps engineering roles such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm etc., attending conferences or webinars when possible in order that StarCompliance UK's DevOps team can benefit from new ideas and approaches being shared within wider industry communities. • M
