Requirements
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work across cross-functional teams and inspire confidence in others.
- Technical Expertise:
- 5+ years of experience in NetSuite engineering (strong in JavaScript), with previous experience in SuiteScript (SuiteScript Develop Certification is a plus).
- Familiarity with NetSuite’s SDN and SDF programs, SuiteCloud web services, REST APIs, and integration platforms.
- Experience with source control best practices, additional programming languages (C#, Java), and strong database background (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
- Exposure to the Payments industry and/or PCI/DSS is a strong asset.

- $180,000 - $200,000 a year
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct a team of engineers to develop solutions that meet our clients' needs within the NetSuite platform environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, customer service, product management, IT, finance, HR, legal, operations, facilities, procurement, and supply chain functions in order to ensure alignment of engineering efforts across all business units within the organization.
- Participate actively on NetSuite's Executive Steering Committee (ESC) as a representative for Engineering Management with an emphasis on driving innovation through technology while ensuring that our solutions are scalable, reliable and secure in order to meet client needs effectively.
- Develop strategic plans aligned with the company’s goals by working closely with senior leadership team members including CEO, CFO, COO, President of Engineering Management as well as other key stakeholders within NetSuite's organization across Canada (Remote).
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in order to develop their skills while ensuring that they are aligned with the company’s goals. This includes providing feedback on code quality, design decisions, testing strategies as well as career development opportunities within NetSuite's organization across Canada (Remote).
- Participate actively and regularly attend meetings of various cross functional teams including sales, marketing, customer service, product management, IT, finance, HR, legal, operations, facilities, procurement, supply chain functions in order to ensure alignment of engineering efforts with the needs of all business units within NetSuite's organization across Canada (Remote).
