Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or related field • 3+ years of experience in DeFi, traditional finance risk management, or quantitative trading • Deep understanding of DeFi primitives: lending protocols, AMMs, perpetuals, yield aggregators, and liquidation mechanics • Proficiency in Python/TypeScript for risk modeling and automation, with experience querying blockchain data • Strong quantitative background with ability to model complex risk scenarios and build production monitoring systems • Independence and ownership mindset - ability to architect solutions with minimal guidance in a fast-paced startup • Excellent communication skills to interface with technical teams and explain risk to stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of DeFi protocols including smart contract audit reviews, economic attack vectors, and governance risks • Build sophisticated liquidity analysis tools to predict slippage, market impact, and establish position limits across protocols • Design and deploy 24/7 automated monitoring systems tracking health factors, collateralization ratios, and liquidation thresholds • Develop real-time alerting infrastructure with sub-minute latency for critical risk events and automated escalation paths • Partner with the vault engineers and execution team to integrate risk controls into deployment strategies
