Requirements
• Experience: Proven leader, with a track record of scaling a business unit from $1M to $10M+. You know the "headaches" of the industry and how to fix them. • Leadership: You’ve managed large teams before and loved it. You know how to build a team that is both high-performing and highly engaged. You are comfortable with 6-8 direct reports. • Mindset: You are persistent, resilient, and possess a "humble & scrappy" get-it-done attitude. You thrive in the chaos of a scale-up. You can think strategically while staying close to "on-the-ground" execution. • Analytical lens: You don't just "feel" how things are going - you know. You have the analytical skills to report on individual and team performance with precision. • Stakeholder edge: You are an expert at managing expectations and building bridges across different departments (Product, Sales, Finance, Legal). • Communication: Perfect written and spoken English is a must. You will be measured on: • Revenue growth: Driving higher adoption of Events within our existing Customers • Conversion: Win rate of customer opportunities to booked events • Customer satisfaction: Customer satisfaction and loyalty (retention) - we want fans, not just customers • Team Engagement: Building a culture where the best talent in the industry wants to work.
Responsibilities
• Reporting to the General Manager of Perk Events, you will balance managing a large, growing team with finding opportunities to step change the team’s operations, and staying close to "on-the-ground" execution. • People leadership: grow a global team of ~20 Event Specialists and Managers to 40 by EOY - recruit and develop talent - ensure they are highly motivated to hit quarterly targets. Manage work allocation across regions to ensure we stay lean, fast, and happy. • Own sales targets: manage the team to convert pipeline into booked events, consistently hitting ambitious quarterly targets. You’ll report on the numbers, find the gaps, and drive the growth. • Focus on quality: define new standards of service quality, set up processes to monitor quality in real time, strengthen customer feedback loops and ultimately improve customer loyalty. • Optimize conversion: increase our win-rate by implementing operational improvements based on customer feedback and quality metrics • Strategic deals: support Senior ICs to handle enterprise accounts, submit RFPs and manage high-value opportunities for 1000+ attendee events. • Product partnership: work with Head of Product to ensure the roadmap directly solves for the blockers your Conversion team face on the ground incl. automating operational processes • Innovation and tech: Constantly improve the tools and processes that allow us to scale; drive adoption of Perk Events platform within your Conversion team • Reporting: share results and insights with leadership to shape key decisions and overall Events strategic direction • Coach and develop: use your deep industry knowledge to provide hands-on mentorship.
