Requirements

• 8+ years of program management experience, with a strong track record delivering large, cross-functional Enterprise Technology & AI programs • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex processes and build structured approaches to ambiguous problems • Experience influencing without authority, earning trust with senior stakeholders, and driving alignment across functions, including Finance, Legal, Sales, and Product • Comfortable operating at both a strategic level and in the details, switching between executive communication and hands-on program execution as needed • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting program status, risks, and recommendations to ETA leadership and Executive audiences • Familiarity with Enterprise IT domains such as business systems, data, AI, security, infrastructure, or enterprise architecture (depth in one or more areas preferred) • Proficiency with program and project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or similar); PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is a plus • Experience working in a remote, globally distributed environment with a bias toward async collaboration and clear documentation • The CIO Enterprise Technology & AI team is GitLab's central engine for improving the systems, data, and AI capabilities that support how we run the business. Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program management for large-scale or high-complexity Enterprise Technology & AI initiatives, including scope definition, roadmap development, resource planning, and delivery tracking • Define and communicate clear success metrics for each program, reporting status and risk to Enterprise Technology & AI leadership on a regular cadence, and escalating issues with recommended paths forward • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of underlying problems, desired outcomes, and solution trade-offs • Drive cross-functional alignment by facilitating decision-making, resolving dependencies, and maintaining momentum across distributed teams • Recommend and implement improvements to program governance frameworks, intake processes, and ways of working across the CIO org • Translate complex technical and business requirements into clear, actionable work plans accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences • Anticipate risks and interdependencies across the portfolio, proactively mitigating blockers before they impact delivery • Model GitLab values and remote work best practices, contributing to a high-trust, async-first team culture
