Requirements
• We’re looking for a self-starter with exceptional technical depth, strong business judgment, and a builder’s mindset who can proactively identify tax risks and opportunities in a fast-moving environment. This role requires someone who can operate effectively at both the strategic and tactical levels — from helping shape long-term global tax strategy and supporting future Audit Committee discussions to managing registrations, filings, documentation, and operational tax execution. • 12+ years of progressive tax experience, including significant leadership experience across international tax and indirect tax matters. • Deep expertise in global indirect tax regimes, including VAT/GST, sales tax, nexus, digital services taxes, and cross-border transaction flows. • Significant hands-on experience operating in multinational or globally expanding businesses with complex international operations. • Strong experience with transfer pricing strategy, intercompany transactions, and international tax structuring. • Demonstrated experience building or scaling tax infrastructure in high-growth, multi-entity, cross-border environments. • Strong understanding of US corporate income tax, international tax concepts, and tax implications of global legal entity structures. • Experience managing external tax advisors and Big Four firms across multiple jurisdictions. • Ability to translate complex tax concepts into practical business guidance for cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership. • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes, systems, and controls from the ground up. • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute across multiple simultaneous initiatives and deadlines. • Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and strong operational follow-through. • Ability to operate effectively both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience interacting with senior leadership, auditors, and board-level stakeholders. • CPA, MST, JD, or equivalent advanced tax credential strongly preferred. • Experience leading or supporting tax functions through IPO preparation or public company readiness. • Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, logistics, or globally distributed operational environments. • Experience with customs, duties, and international supply chain tax considerations. • Familiarity with ASC 740 and tax provision processes. • Experience with NetSuite and international ERP implementations. • Experience implementing tax engines or indirect tax automation tooling. • Public accounting experience at a Big Four firm. • Experience building internal tax functions from an early-stage or high-growth environment. • For full-time positions, Dandy offers a wide range of best-in-class, comprehensive, and inclusive benefits tailored to each country where we operate. Responsibilities
• Own and lead Dandy’s global tax strategy across indirect tax, corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and international tax planning. • Design and implement scalable tax structures to support rapid international expansion while optimizing the company’s global effective tax rate and minimizing tax risk. • Lead all aspects of indirect tax strategy and compliance, including VAT, GST, sales tax, digital services taxes, and related international consumption tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. • Partner closely with Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, and Finance teams to assess the tax implications of new products, pricing models, operational flows, legal entities, and geographic expansion initiatives. • Develop and maintain transfer pricing policies, intercompany agreements, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance and operational efficiency across global operations. • Oversee global tax compliance processes, including corporate income tax filings, indirect tax filings, registrations, estimated payments, audits, and statutory reporting obligations. • Coordinate and manage external tax advisors, consultants, and service providers globally, ensuring high-quality execution, timely deliverables, and alignment with Dandy’s business objectives. • Act as the primary internal tax business partner and conduit between external advisors and internal stakeholders, ensuring tax considerations are embedded into operational and strategic decision-making. • Support the development of tax accounting processes, quarterly tax provision support, and documentation necessary to meet public-company readiness standards. • Partner with external auditors and support all tax-related audit requests, documentation, and technical accounting analyses. • Build scalable tax processes, controls, and documentation frameworks to support a high-growth environment and evolving regulatory requirements. • Monitor changes in global tax legislation, regulatory developments, and emerging international tax trends to proactively assess business impacts and opportunities. • Support executive leadership and future Audit Committee discussions with tax strategy presentations, risk assessments, and board-level reporting. • Assist with entity structuring, cross-border cash movement strategies, customs considerations, and other international operational tax matters as the company scales globally. • Operate comfortably both strategically and tactically — including hands-on execution of registrations, filings, reconciliations, and operational tax workflows when required.
