NewtonX - Senior Data Engineer / Analyst
Requirements
• 4+ years in Data Engineering, Analytics, or Growth Data roles (startup/marketplace experience a plus) • 4+ years • Strong SQL, dbt, and Python • Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Looker, and Mixpanel (or Amplitude/Tableau) • Deep understanding of funnel metrics, growth experimentation, and marketing attribution • Deep understanding • Ability to translate cross-functional questions into data deliverables • Bonus points: AI/ML data workflows, A/B testing tools (Optimizely, LaunchDarkly), Airflow, PLG or marketplace analytics, paid channel attribution
Responsibilities
• Build infrastructure: Design pipelines (SQL, dbt, BigQuery) that unify marketing, product, and operational data. Own data quality and event tracking validation. • Build infrastructure: • Power experimentation: Partner with Product to design and analyze A/B tests across acquisition and activation funnels. Implement Mixpanel instrumentation for new experiments. • Power experimentation: • Drive insights: Own funnel reporting, attribution models, and campaign analysis.
