Requirements
• Senior leadership experience building and scaling high-performing product design teams. • A strong point of view on simplicity, usability, and user-centered design. • Demonstrated ability to evolve design systems and experience quality at scale across the full customer journey. • Practical experience integrating AI into design workflows to improve speed and outcomes. • Deep empathy for small businesses, solopreneurs, or similarly constrained customer segments. • Comfort operating across product, brand, content, and lifecycle design. • Strong collaboration skills and a systems-thinking mindset. • High standards, clear taste, and the ability to raise the bar without creating friction. • Experience in optimising for conversion while not detracting from usability.
Responsibilities
• Overseeing Experience Design projects within Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal. • Leading a team in Research & Design department at Jimdo. • Managing and executing design strategies to enhance user experience across digital platforms. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams for product development aligned with UX goals. • Analyzing market trends and customer feedback to inform design decisions. • Ensuring designs meet accessibility standards and are inclusive of diverse user needs. • Reviewing, testing, and iterating on digital prototypes based on usability studies. • Mentoring junior team members in UX principles and best practices. • Staying abreast of emerging technologies that can impact design strategies (e.g., AR/VR). • Representing the department at internal meetings to advocate for user experience priorities.
