Requirements
• 7+ Years working with relational databases systems (3+ at a Senior, lead or architect level) • 2+ years in a DBRE or SRE role • Experience working in the cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure) • Experience working with IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform. • Experience working with source control such as GIT. • SQL Server experience preferred, MySQL, PostgreSQL nice to haves • Experience working with VLDBs (1+ TB) and managing a large number of databases (100+) • Languages such as Powershell, C#, SQL, Python • Additional experience with the following tools\systems a plus: Git, Jira, Azure Data Factory, DataBricks, Grafana, InfluxDB and flavors of NoSQL databases. • *Some on-call or after-hours work will be required • $146,000 - $162,000 a year • At PointClickCare, base salary is one of the many components that make up our total rewards package. The US base salary range for this position is $146,000-162,000 (not overtime eligible) + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by job and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience including professional and lived experience, and/or work location. Responsibilities
• Ensure the reliability and performance of databases within PointClickCare's SaaS operations environment. • Monitor database health using automated tools to identify potential issues before they impact users. • Implement best practices for data backup, recovery, and disaster preparedness plans. • Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure upgrades or changes that may affect databases. • Provide technical support during outages by troubleshooting problems quickly and effectively to minimize downtime. • Stay current with industry trends in database management, security measures, and performance optimization techniques.
