Requirements

• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. You have a proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and hold them accountable to strict regulatory deadlines without having direct authority over them. • Governance and Oversight Experience: Experience interacting with, supporting, or auditing formal boards and committees. You understand what robust governance looks like and have the confidence to hold teams accountable for running compliant committee operations. • Regulated Environment Experience: Proven experience working within a regulated environment (e.g., Legal, Education, Financial Services or Healthcare) and navigating regulatory frameworks. • Regulatory Interpretation: Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and distill dense regulatory guidance or policy into clear, actionable business requirements and robust submissions. • Data Analysis and Reporting: Proficiency in data manipulation (Excel/Google Sheets, pivot tables) to build reports, track KPIs, and spot emerging risk trends. • AI and Systems Aptitude: A highly process-driven mindset with hands-on experience or strong technical curiosity for setting up and managing knowledge bases, CRM systems, or AI-driven tools (e.g., Wordsmith, Cassidy, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). • Project Management: Strong organisational skills to own the planning lifecycle for annual returns, and coordinate reporting across multiple stakeholders. • Strong Communication: Excellent drafting and writing skills, acting as the confident "first line of response" for internal advisory. • Curiosity and AI First-Mindset: A strong interest or technical proficiency in AI, knowledge management, and the regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and Submissions: Create the first drafts of critical regulatory submissions (e.g., sections of our Degree Awarding Powers assessment, OfS Self-Assessment) for review. • Internal Advisory: Act as the “human line of response" for the business on regulatory questions. You will research and provide initial advice on regulatory queries. • Stakeholder Management & Coordination: Act as the central driver for cross-functional regulatory requirements. You will manage, chase, and coordinate stakeholders across the business (e.g., partnering with Finance for regulatory financial returns, or Operations for oversight evidence) to ensure we receive accurate information on time. • Oversight Management: Audit and monitor our oversight committees to ensure compliant operations. You will audit the relevant committees to ensure they are meeting regulatory expectations. • Risk Intelligence: Analyse internal data trends (e.g., QAR dips, retention issues) to spot emerging regulatory risks early and propose mitigation strategies. • AI Tooling and Knowledge Management: Set up and maintain our Regulatory Affairs AI Tooling. You will update the knowledge base, verify answer samples, and ensure the tool remains accurate as rules change. • Policy Auditing: Audit relevant policies to ensure they remain compliant, viable, and aligned with current expectations. • Provision Oversight and Reporting: Act as a key point person for Provision Oversight Reviews. You will also assist with the planning and production of comprehensive oversight reporting for Executives, senior leadership and committees with the Head of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Team. • Project Management: Own the planning lifecycle for returns - defining the timeline, instructing stakeholders, and quality-assuring their contributions before review by the Head of Regulatory Affairs and other relevant stakeholders. • Regulatory Meeting Preparation: Assist the Head of Regulatory Affairs with regulatory meeting preparation and data packs.
