Requirements
• 2+ years building products. • Strong experience with backend systems (Python preferred). • Clear communicator - both in person and in writing. • Bonus: background in B2B SaaS and 0 - 1 experience • Above all: drive, grit, and ownership. Responsibilities
• Developing scalable backend systems that can handle high volumes of traffic efficiently. • Implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and cyber threats. • Designing APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications or third-party services. • Optimizing database queries and structures to ensure fast response times under heavy load conditions. • Troubleshooting performance issues in the backend infrastructure, including server configurations and network bottlenecks. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements for new features or enhancements. • Writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards. • Documenting system architecture and technical specifications clearly for future reference and onboarding of other engineers. • Monitoring backend systems using tools like New Relic or Datadog to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. • Participating in code reviews with peers to maintain high code quality standards within the team. • Staying updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices relevant to backend development at FurtherAI.
