Whoop - Mechanical Engineer II (Continuous Improvement)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field • 3+ years of experience in the design of complex mechanical products, preferably for consumer electronics, wearables, or medical devices • Experience with SolidWorks CAD best practices, including advanced assemblies, tolerance analysis, configuration management, and applying DFx/DfM feedback • Familiarity with second sourcing, supplier qualification, and risk mitigation strategies in manufacturing • Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining rapid prototyping tools to craft proof-of-concept models • Strong communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams and external partners • Experience in high-quality consumer electronics or wearable technologies preferred • Familiarity with validation testing methods and statistical analysis tools preferred • Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes (e.g., plastic injection molding, sheet metal design, metal injection molding), manual assembly, and complex testing fixture design preferred • Working experience in a fast-paced or startup environment preferred • A passion for health, or wearable technologies; and designing human-centered solutions in this space • This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA.
