Requirements
• Skills needed: Senior level experience in Application Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. Experience managing containerized environments using Docker/Kubernetes is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or CircleCI is required. • Years of experience: Minimum 5 years in a DevOps role within an application infrastructure context. • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) preferred but not mandatory; Master’in Degree/MSc also acceptable, especially with relevant coursework or projects related to cloud computing and containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes. • Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect certification is highly desirable as it demonstrates expertise in designing scalable infrastructure using the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform; Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or PCCI Cloud Professional credential are also preferred for candidates with experience working on Windows-based cloud environments. • Must-haves: Experience managing complex, multi-tiered application architectures and troubleshooting issues related to network connectivity is required; strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal) as well as proficiency in the local language are essential for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
• Drive architecture decisions to improve scalability, resiliency, performance, and security. • Build tooling to increase deployment safety and release velocity to Kubernetes. • Advance CI/CD capabilities for frequent, reliable production deployments. • Mentor engineers and lead productivity improvements through tooling. • Define long-term Kubernetes infra roadmap and guidance at WHOOP. 🎯 Requirements 5+ years in DevOps, Platform, SRE, or backend roles. • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and core components. • Container networking, service meshes, and network policies. • Experience with multi-cluster Kubernetes environments and inter-cluster communication. • Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS). • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform) and related tools. 🎁 Benefits Equity package aligned with role and performance. • Collaborative, security-focused engineering culture.
