Requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality software systems in line with company standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for new projects as well as enhancements of existing ones. • Write clean, efficient code that is easy to understand and modify; adhere to coding conventions established by the team or organization. • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards are met before merging changes into production systems. • Troubleshoot software issues as they arise, working with other engineers when necessary to resolve complex problems quickly and effectively. • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies relevant to your role; participate in continuous learning opportunities offered by Zopa or external sources. • Document code changes thoroughly for future reference and maintainability, ensuring that all team members can understand and utilize new features effectively. • Test software applications rigorously using a variety of testing methods (unit tests, integration tests, etc.) to ensure reliability before deployment; identify potential issues early in the development process. • Monitor system performance regularly and implement optimizations as needed to maintain optimal efficiency under varying loads. • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments within Zopa regarding project statuses, timelines, and technical challenges; provide clear explanations of complex concepts when necessary. • Attend regular meetings or stand-ups as required to stay informed about the progress of ongoing projects and align with team goals and priorities. • Contribute ideas for process improvements that can enhance productivity within your department, fostering a collaborative work environment at Zopa.
