Airwallex - Senior Software Engineer, Scale (Frontend)

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with ReactJS and TypeScript. • Strong judgment in choosing the right level of abstraction, balancing flexibility and simplicity in system and component design. • Clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Pragmatic decision-making on when to optimise for performance versus velocity based on business impact. • Experience thriving in cross-functional environments spanning Product, Design, Compliance, and Sales. • A track record of designing for scale, maintainability, and production excellence. • Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated industry. • Experience tuning performance at high scale, including 100k+ QPS, large user bases, or strict latency SLAs. • A background in multi-tenant SaaS or platform architecture. • Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. • Experience with OAuth 2.0, API design, or developer documentation. • Experience with cross-region deployment or data residency compliance. • Solutions engineering or customer-facing technical experience. • YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF • You've worked in a high-growth or scaling environment and know what it takes to build systems that need to grow with the business. • You're comfortable with ambiguity.
