New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers. • Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following: • US employees (any location): $327,200 - $409,000

Responsibilities

• Set the bar for design at Mercury by defining a philosophy that prioritizes quality, craft, and customer experience. • Ensure products maintain their thoughtful, elegant feel as teams grow in size and speed increases. • Develop scalable systems such as design frameworks and operational practices without compromising on design standards. • Engage directly with critical design moments to guide direction and reinforce clarity. • Work closely with Product and Engineering leadership for strategic alignment and execution, forming a trifecta of design–product–engineering teams. • Collaborate with Marketing to build a brand that is driven by strong design principles and evolve Mercury's communication style. • Grow and support the development of world-class design organization including emerging functions like UX Research, Design Systems, and Design Operations. • Represent design thinking at high levels within executive team meetings to influence company decisions and strategic investments. • Thoughtfully explore how new technologies such as AI can be introduced into Mercury's operations while improving customer experience.
