Whoop - Software Engineer II (Backend, Health Records)

• 2-4 years of experience building backend systems and APIs in production environments • Experience working with backend technologies such as Java (or similar), relational databases (e.g., Postgres), and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) • Familiarity with designing and working with data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and validation of structured or semi-structured data • Understanding of API design principles • Exposure to healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, CDA) or integrating with external health data sources • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down technical tasks and deliver iteratively • Effective communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions. • Learn more about our Software Org and how to be successful in your engineering career at WHOOP via our Career Framework. • This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA.
