Sezzle - Senior Software Engineer with Accounting Experience

• Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst. • Solid understanding of financial operations such as reconciliation, reporting, and compliance. • Experience in banking or financial institutions is a plus • Proficient in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and experience with database systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL. • Familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodology, and release processes. • Comfortable using observability platforms like Prometheus, or vendor solutions like NewRelic or Datadog to instrument your code for production monitoring and alerting. • Familiarity with containerized micro-service architecture deployed with Kubernetes on AWS • Demonstrated history of delivering commercial APIs and web applications • You have relentlessly high standards - many people may think your standards are unreasonably high.
