Requirements

• Strong Python and SQL skills • Experience developing and operating ETL/ELT, storage, compute, workflow systems • Exposure to building and operating reliable, scalable data pipelines, orchestration of data movement, querying, transformation, and frameworks for analytics engineering workflows • Understanding of data warehousing basics, especially Snowflake, is highly valuable • Understanding of performance, capacity, cost trade-offs in data processing systems. • Experience diagnosing, mitigating, and addressing data system production issues at scale • Strong communication skills • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience • Select technologies we use and teach: AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, Spark, Python, Kotlin • Select technologies we use and teach:

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute on technology projects that scale with our growth; contribute to our technology foundations with a focus on data integrity, security, performance, scale, reliability, operational excellence. • Engage with team planning and prioritization, balancing urgent and near-term needs with long-term goals. • Provide technical expertise on difficult open-ended problems.

Benefits

• Canada: the pay range for this role is $129,500 - $178,000 per year. • This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future. • Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year.
