Requirements

• Shape and execute vertical strategy through deep vertical expertise and problem-solving: Monitor industry trends, develop intelligence on vertical business models and unit economics, and present actionable growth strategies to Marketplace leadership • Deliver analytics and operational support that strengthens customer relationships: Own reporting, billing, conversion rate updates, and campaign QA in collaboration with Ad Ops; support Customer Success with client performance materials • Strengthen the broader team's analytical foundation: Contribute to dashboards and tooling, identify and resolve data issues with Data Science, and help drive continuous improvements to Insights processes and systems • 4-6 years of experience in an analytically driven role (Business Analysis, Product Analytics etc.). Experience in client-facing roles is a plus • Analytical storytelling: You synthesize data into clear narratives with actionable recommendations • SQL and Excel proficiency: Demonstrated ability to build analyses from scratch and translate findings into clear recommendations • Comfortable working with AI tools: You’ll be expected to use AI tools to deepen your analysis and improve team workflows • Problem solving: You tackle ambiguous problems by applying first principles thinking to break them into manageable components and get to a clear point of view • Curiosity: You love learning the why behind observations and data, and you're energized by becoming a subject matter expert in your vertical • Communication and stakeholder management: You present recommendations clearly and concisely to both internal and external audiences, and adapt your style to the room • Collaboration: You build strong relationships across teams, go out of your way to support teammates, and engage productively in live discussion and debate • Results orientation: You prioritize effectively, have a strong bias for action, and hold yourself accountable to revenue outcomes • Humility and growth mindset: You seek feedback, learn from colleagues and clients, and continuously improve your own work and the team's processes • Mission alignment: you're inspired to help build modern, effective, and respectful technology for low-income Americans • Marketplace experience preferred but not required; car insurance or financial services background is a plus • At Propel, you'll enjoy • Meaningful work and a strong shared sense of mission • Remote-friendly work environment with a dog-friendly office in Downtown Brooklyn. We set our salary ranges using compensation data from hundreds of NYC-based startups at our stage. Additionally, pay is not determined based on location. Compensation for this position includes base salary and a performance-based bonus. The expected base salary for the role is $120,000 - $160,000. The bonus is a combination of individual and team revenue performance. The total on-target earnings (OTE) is $132,000 - $176,000.
