Requirements

• PhD in Biology or a closely related life sciences field • Deep subject matter expertise — ability to work at PhD-level complexity • Prior experience in AI data annotation or RLHF (hands-on tasking) • Strong written communication and attention to detail • Permanently based in the US • Research experience with published work in a reputable biological journal • Experience with adversarial prompting, red teaming, or model evaluation strongly preferred • Teaching experience (professor, lecturer, or tutor in biology or related fields) • Experience in technical writing, science communication, or professional scientific writing

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate high-difficulty biology prompts that probe the limits of AI models • Identify reasoning errors, weaknesses, and failure modes in model outputs • Apply adversarial prompting techniques to surface gaps in model understanding • Provide expert-level feedback on model responses across molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, and related subfields • Collaborate with project leads to maintain high quality and consistency standards

Benefits

• Contract Hourly $80 per hour • For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies.
