Requirements
• Demonstrated experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, Go) or a desire to expand those skills. • Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS. • Familiarity with Zero Trust Framework and SASE related concepts. • 6 years plus of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role. • Technical curiosity and passion: Cloudflare is at the cutting edge of internet technology, and our Solutions Engineers are viewed as subject-matter experts. It’s incumbent on us to stay up to date not only with Cloudflare’s specific products, but with industry trends. • A focus on learning, teaching, collaboration, mentorship, and growth, not only personally but also within the team and company. • Aside from technical and collaborative skills, we place a high value on project management, relationship building, and EQ. • Desired • Desired • You've built web applications before, or contributed to existing web applications in a meaningful way. • You understand the role of a firewall, the difference between L3, L4, and L7 firewalls, and that ‘ACL’ doesn't always mean Anterior Cruciate Ligament. • You're not afraid of command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, or analyzing HTTP request and response in a browser’s web inspector. • You can describe the differences between CSRF, XSS, and SQLi in detail, and Cloudflare's role in defending against them. • Understanding of, or experience with, regulatory requirements such a PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2. • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Responsibilities
• Billing and Invoicing: Direct preparation and issuance of customer invoices to ensure prompt andaccurate billing in compliance with contract terms, ensuring the accurate reflection of revenuerecognition standards. • Accounts Receivable Management: Facilitate all aspects of the Accounts Receivable cycle, including cashreceipt and application processes to ensure prompt and accurate deposit of all funds and accurateapplication to customer accounts. • Revenue Accounting & Compliance: Apply US GAAP revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606/605)to billing and invoicing practices. Participate in month-end close processes associated with AccountsReceivable and deferred/recognized revenue to support timely and accurate preparation and delivery offinancial statements. • Customer Interaction: Oversee the response to billing and A/R inquiries in a manner that cultivates aculture of exemplary customer service. Act as a key finance liaison by attending Sales and Clientmeetings as required to clarify contract terms, invoicing schedules, and payment obligations. • Systems and Data Integrity: Oversee maintenance of customer account information within BillingSystem(s) to ensure up-to-date address, terms, tax, and contact information. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various systems projects, including selection, implementation, and upgrades to A/Rand Billing systems. • Internal Controls & Reporting: Support overall organization’s SOX compliance requirements throughadherence to key controls and timely completion of reporting for A/R and Revenue-related processes.
